A millennium question - How to be successful in your career ?

Let's start ih a quote " "Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."

It is everyone's wish to become a successful person in their career. How to become a successful person is a question of the millennium and there is no specific answer to it and no specific bar to measure success. Although, there are wise personalities like Sir Richard Branson and Satya Nadela who can give us some insights. There are two effective tools to start with. Learn and practice Deming cycle - PDCA cycle and Time management. These tools will give you the upper hand to utilize your time wisely.

PDCA stands for Plan - Do -  Check - Act. Start with making your a single achievable goal and then make a plan. If you don't know how to make a plan use the internet or advice from your close friends. Then, take actions on the plan and remember to give importance to each idea you got for execution. The third step is checking whether your plan is working and you are getting results and even 1% is fine to start with. The last step is to act, which is continuously applying this cycle and recording results. Now, this cycle can be started with securing employment then getting promotions and extending families. Always thrive for continuous development in Learning, job and social relationships.

Time management is a must be a tool in your toolbox. You can use your time at your wish but spending time on non-important and non-urgent work will lend you nowhere. I will recommend using time in reading some entrepreneurial or real knowledge book or journal. Insta and Facebook reading will not contribute to gaining knowledge. Eisenhower matrix is useful when you say you don't have time for the tasks. Take a look and understand:

I will recommend noting down your long and short goals in a time-bound manner like 5 years and 6 months respectively. Most of the students and graduates I talked, they have the goal to get a job in their respective field but then after they have no plans. Learn and utilize the skills you need to get your goal. I would like to learn about creativity and design software so I have to spend some time on the learning platform and earn some badges and certificates. Finally, continuously applying the skills and knowledge you got for a better tomorrow.
